So today while driving home, I look at my fuel gauge and it’s on empty!!! OMGosh, how did I not notice that I was running on empty? My Dudu doesn’t have a fuel reserve so when the main tank empties, that’s it. I pull in to the next gas station. Ask the attendant to fill my tank and check the engine that all is well. He fills the tank, tells me I need engine oil. I ask him to top it up. Then I ask for my total bill? Tell him I’m paying by credit card, so he goes off to get the swipe machine. He comes back and I open up my hand bag…no credit card. What??? Where is it? What did I do with it? And I recall that yesterday I made a payment… and then blank. I have no idea where it is, and I guess that I probably left it at home.
Plan B: cash. Check my notes and I don’t have enough to settle my bill. Plan C: mpesa. I check my balance, Ksh. 234. Clearly not enough funds. And I start to panic! I tell the attendant that I have ‘lost’ my credit card. And in that moment of wondering what my next move should be: do I top up mpesa from my account? Should I call someone to send me mpesa, and who? Which option is best right now? And right then my phone rings. It’s a good friend of mine and before he even says why he’s calling, I fill him in and ask if he has the funds I need on mpesa? Yes, he does. And he’ll send it right away. He does. I settle my bill, quite relieved! There is a God who sees and answers our needs, sometimes even before we make our prayer requests lol.
Thank you Lord!!! Today, my friend was my angel 😇. Thank you, Angel 😉! And as I am celebrating God’s rescue, I remember that he never did say why he was calling ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ and I call him back…
