Lifts… Part II

…and then there’s when the lift is at the top-most floor, it opens and as you’re getting out the one waiting to get in asks if it’s going down? Seriously? Like where else would it be going? Always feel like answering “No, it’s going up”: just to play with their minds but then the business of life keeps me going. Besides which, at that rate, they may take me seriously and wait for a lift going down-and miss the lift altogether ;).

Finally, if you’re in a lift, are you able to tell which direction it’s going without looking at the floor numbers changing? It puzzles me when someone gets in, the lift was going up but of course they didn’t notice that, and they press a lower floor. The lift starts moving and they do not react either way but when it stops on a higher floor, they’re surprised that it was going up? And I wonder, did you not realize it was ascending and not descending when it started moving? ‪#‎LiftTings‬
